Bethany Learn: The Fit2beMama’s Alternatives For Fitness - Jul 25,2011
With the economy being in the current depressed state, many people are cutting corners wherever possible. One of the first to go is expensive memberships to fitness chains. Unfortunately, this is not the best solution because exercise provides an immediate release for stress. To boot, many fitness clubs are also making cutbacks on staff and equipment maintenance which can also discourage membership activity because if the machines are always broken or even worse, ridden with all sorts of bacteria, it is not really worth the money. So, what can you do? There are tons of videos and fitness shows on tv but half of the moves are not suited for the average person. After a few seconds of participation, most people tend to change the channel and resort to looking for some other alternative that is not only realistic but interactive.
In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer will speak to the social media sensation of fitness, Bethany Learn about alternatives to fitness. She will talk about functional fitness at home and options that are affordable and free! Stay Tuned!
Joe Cross: Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead - Jul 22,2011
In American, obesity has become a severe problem that affects people of all ages. While there are many diets, fitness chains and other methods to help shed unwanted pounds, sometimes, you must reach rock bottom in order to take action. One day, Joe Cross found himself, 100 pounds overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from a debilitating auto-immune disease. He decided enough was enough and began his journey to good health. He decided to film his transition so that he could inspire others to do the same. Along the way, he spoke to more than 300 Americans, from all walks of life, about what they ate and (more importantly) what they didn't eat. He found a nation full of honest, hard working, friendly and caring people that just need some motivation and inspiration. His documentary, FAT, SICK & NEARLY DEAD is an inspiring film that chronicles Joe's personal mission to regain his health. With doctors and conventional medicines unable to help long term, Joe turns to the only option left, his body's ability to heal itself. He trades in the junk food and hits the road armed with a juicer and generator, vowing only to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice for the next 60 days. Across 3,000 miles Joe has one goal in mind: To get off his pills and get healthy.
In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Joe Cross, about his journey and how juicing can improve and restore your health. Stay tuned!
Dr Allison Hill: The Mommy Docs' Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy - Jul 21,2011
When a woman is pregnant, it should be a joyous experience. Unfortunately, for many women, regardless of the amount of medical information that is available, there is a lot of unnecessary fear and stress that is caused by misinformation. There are so many questions and so many different answers, of course, depending upon who you talk to. Some of the most common questions are about the effectiveness of using cocoa butter for stretch marks, whether or not you should fly during your first or last trimester to “walking makes you go through labor faster”, etc. In The Mommy Docs Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy and Birth the common myths about pregnancy are debunked from conception to post delivery. The book was written by three board-certified OB/GYM’s , Dr. Yvonne Bohn, Dr. Allison Hill and Dr. Alane Park, who’ve been in private practice in Los Angeles for more than a decade. Between the three, they have delivered more than 10,000 babies. All three women star in the television series Deliver Me, previously seen on Discovery Healthy and premiering soon on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).
In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Dr. Allison Hill, about what you can expect from your pregnancy. Stay tuned!
